According to the forecast of sea level rise in Sydney, the sea level of White Bay will be about 184cm in 2100. At that time, the TOXIC TIDES, STORM SURGE and EROSION caused by rising sea levels will become a major hidden danger to the site. In order to solve the challenges are brought by Sea level rise. My design is divided into three phases. The first phase is Edge Design & Habitats Introduction, which aims to solve the problems of storm surge and water edge erosion. The second phase is Bioremediaon, which seeks to solve the problems of toxic tide and lack of green space. The third phase is The Legacy To Next Generation, which aims to give educational significance to the intervention. The vision of the project is from the quote by Jane Marceau, Bays Precinct Taskforce Community Representative: "We hope to live in a high quality, healthy and safe environment, at the same time as it ensures that our future generations share a sense of the area's history and memories. We believe this beautiful vision can be realised in the near future at the bays precinct".
